Professor Kumar trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Singapore, UK and Australia. He has a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the RCOG and RANZCOG. He completed his subspecialist Fellowship in Maternal & Fetal Medicine at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital/Imperial College London. He is the Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Senior Staff Specialist in MFM/O&G at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital and Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland. He is also a Head of Discipline (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) at the University of Queensland’s School of Medicine.
Associate Professor Chuan is a clinician-researcher in the fields of anaesthesia and pain medicine. Internationally known as an innovator and leader in regional anaesthesia, perioperative ultrasonography, and medical education with the aim of improving patient outcomes after surgery.
